Criminal and Civil Records
Federal criminal history searches capture federal convictions and pending cases filed within the state's federal districts. Jurisdictions searched include the applicant's current and previous jurisdictions of residence. Because the number of districts within each state varies, NAS conducts its research for the whole state to ensure all districts are included. Reports will include court, case number, date filed, charges filed, conviction date, and disposition. Federal searches review a minimum of seven years' worth of data. The availability of extended search periods varies by district.
