Criminal and Civil Records

County criminal history is researched for both felony and misdemeanor convictions and pending cases within a given county. Counties to be searched may be identified by the job application, the social security number trace, or by the employer. The search will yield data on court cases filed, charges filed, conviction data, and case disposition. Searches go back a minimum of seven years. Depending on the jurisdiction, some records searches can extend beyond seven years. Record information is obtained directly from the county courthouse record terminals. This is a fundamental search for investigating criminal backgrounds.
